Due to the inclement weather, Fishers Island School will run a delayed opening schedule today, Monday, December 12th.
All Fishers Island resident students (Elementary and High School) should arrive at school at 12:25 pm and be dismissed for pickup or walking home at 4:15 pm. Connecticut students will take the 11:30 am Fishers Island Ferry and return home at the typical 4:45 pm boat.
All members of the boy's basketball team will meet at the New London ferry terminal at 1:30 for their game at the Grove School.

The Fishers Island Ferry has notified us that tomorrow's 12:45 pm ferry will be the day's last run due to the forecasted winds. Therefore, the Fishers Island School will have an early dismissal tomorrow, November 30, 2022.

Students in grades 5-12 are invited to go door-to-door caroling in the Fishers Island community on Thursday, December 8th from 4:45-6:45pm! Students interested in attending must sign up in advance with Ms. Tempesta or Mrs. Arcelus. The event will take place outside, so please dress warmly! After singing, students will enjoy cookies and hot chocolate at the Community Center before departing on the 7pm ferry.
Wreaths are available for pick up today at the school starting at 8:30am. CT families may pick up wreaths today at 5:30pm from the ferry. Contact Tawnya Eastman at t.eastman@fischool.com for any questions.

The FIS Student Council will provide a free 'Thanksgiving Lunch' for all students (PreK-12th grade) on Thursday, November 17th.
Turkey sandwiches w/stuffing are on the menu.

Due to the upcoming Holiday Weekend, the Fishers Island Ferry will run a unique schedule on Friday, October 7th. All students will be dismissed and sent home on the added 3:15 pm ferry leaving Fishers for a 4:00 pm pickup in New London.
If this pickup time presents a logistical issue for your family, please email Christian (c.arsenault@fischool.com). If requested, we can supervise your child and send them home on the regular 4:45 pm ferry.
Fishers Island School will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, September 28th. This decision was made because of the number of staff and students who will be out tomorrow for COVID and non-COVID-related reasons.
