Admissions/Application Process
Fishers Island School accepts applications from students entering grades 4-9. Applications are viewed by a Tuition Selection Committee, and students are notified of their status in a timely manner.
Open House: The Open House for prospective families will be held on Tuesday, January 14th. Families with students entering grades 4-9 in the 2025-2026 school year are invited to attend this informational session to learn more about our school and the admission process. The Fishers Island Ferry leaves New London (5 Waterfront Park, New London, CT 06320) promptly at 7:00 am to arrive on Fishers Island at 7:45 am. A parking garage is located across the street from the train station in New London. Participants will return on the 12:45 pm ferry, arriving in New London at 1:30 pm.

Selection: The Tuition Selection Committee will meet on March 1st and mail acceptance/denial letters by the first week of April. Only completed applications will be reviewed by the committee.
Visitation Day: Once students are selected, they will be invited to attend a school day in April at Fishers Island School. This will give students an opportunity to experience a full day of learning at Fishers Island School.
Commitment: Students must notify the school of their decision to attend by April 17th. A $500 non-refundable deposit will also be due at this time. This deposit will be deducted from the tuition expense.
