Fishers Island School accepts applications from students entering grades 4-9. Applications are viewed by a Tuition Selection Committee and students are notified of their status in a timely manner.
Phase I (Open House)- Prospective
Students and their families are invited to attend an Open House on
January 12, 2017. Students will have a chance to engage in classroom
activities while their families tour the island/school and ask any
questions they may have about the school. Families will take the 7:00am
ferry to the island and will depart on the 12:45pm ferry to arrive in
New London at 1:30pm.
Phase II (Application)- Full Applications must be received by February 10, 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year.
Phase III (Viking Experience)- The Tuition Selection
Committee will meet to discuss potential candidates and invite selected
students to participate in a "Viking Experience" Shadow Day on March 8, 2017. Prospective Students will take the 7:00am ferry to the island and
spend the entire school day shadowing current students. Prospective
students will then take the 4:45pm ferry back to arrive in New London at
Acceptance/Denial letters will be mailed to families by March 20, 2017 for the 2017-2018 school year.
